The year defined by a trans creator.
For the trans creator whose work across the qualifying year set the standard. The category recognises the work, and it is judged against the same six criteria as every other Creator PALMA.
Open to creators aged 18 or over who identify as trans. Identity is self-declared at the point of nomination. PALMA requests no documentation, holds no record of transition or medical history, and will refuse such material if it is offered.
Achievement and creative quality lead. Judges are briefed to disregard follower and subscriber counts, and to assess the work rather than the creator's biography.
Finalists in this category are announced once judging is complete. Nominations close at the end of the nomination window.
What the work means to the people it reached.
How squarely the work sits in the category it was entered in.
Scores are submitted independently by each judge and are immutable once submitted. Audience size is not a criterion.
